Jeanette Wilk Yaeger
Jeanette Wilk Yaeger is the lead legislative professional at ONE EIGHTY CONSULTING. Jeanette has over 10 years of experience working in and around the state legislative process. She has specifically represented interests in health care, information technology, agriculture, corrections, financial services, auditing, gaming, and education. While she is knowledgeable in these industries, it is her in-depth understanding of the political process that allows our clients to have an impact in Florida. Her expertise has given our clients the ability to change laws and regulations that are costly to business. She is also proficient at the state budgeting process and has helped our clients procure new business in Florida.
Prior to joining ONE EIGHTY CONSULTING, Jeanette was a Government Affairs Consultant with Arnall and Associates, representing high profile clients such as BellSouth, the PGA of America, Novartis Pharmaceutical Corporation, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Florida. She was the lead consultant for the Florida office of this firm.
Previous to this, Jeanette was the Government & Public Affairs Liaison for Western Growers in Phoenix, Arizona. She lobbied on behalf of Western Growers (WGA), Arizona Crop Protection Association (AZCPA), Western Plant Health Association, and Crop Life America. While there, she planned and executed two major fundraisers for AZCPA and developed membership for WGA.
Before moving west, Jeanette was the Director of Legislative Affairs for the Florida Correctional Privatization Commission. As their Chief Lobbyist, she promoted legislative interest in further privatization and efficiency of state government, handled all press and legislative communications, contract renewals, ad valorem tax issues, and bond financing issues. Some of her major projects included increasing capacity at private facilities and reorganizing the bond financing of state facilities to increase cost-savings to the State.
Jeanette worked for the Florida House of Representatives as Legislative Assistant to State Representative Joseph R. Spratt early in her career. She drafted and tracked legislation, presented legislation before committees, secured companion sponsors, and met with constituents and special interest groups regarding policy.
Jeanette graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in Political Science. She received her M.B.A. from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College, completing a dual-emphasis in management and finance.
