LISA AARON
Lisa Aaron comes to One Eighty Consulting with a wealth of information technology expertise in the public sector. Lisa most recently served as Chief Information Officer for Attorney General Charlie Crist. During her 20-year tenure, she was responsible for the direct management of a statewide network and computing system, including the development of an award-winning Domino/Lotus Notes groupware collaboration system.
She was responsible for the coordination and implementation of local area networks, including the planning of equipment purchases and installation of applications and software. She planned and established goals for the agency’s statewide computer applications, prepared necessary budget requests and represented the agency before the Legislature, the Office of the Governor and the Technology Review Workgroup. She also represented the agency on the State CIO Council and information technology policy development workgroups as created by the State Technology Office.
On behalf of her division, the Florida TaxWatch and the Florida Council of 100 presented Lisa with the prestigious Davis Productivity Award for designing, developing and deploying a Strategic Communications and Knowledge Sharing System. Lisa’s division developed information technology used to speed up and add depth to legal research and case preparation; promote collaboration and coordination; saving valuable attorney time.
Before becoming CIO at the Attorney General’s Office, Lisa also served as the Digital Information Director and Senior Executive Assistant in Public Information. She designed and implemented digital information systems to facilitate communication and information sharing both within the agency and among the agency, law enforcement entities and other agency clients. This included implementation and oversight of “Operation Electronic Sub-station,” a program that assisted more than 100 Florida law enforcement agencies in establishing a presence on the web. She was also responsible for the design and development of the agency website, the first Attorney General home page in the nation.
Lisa has served on many technology panels and addressed several National Association of Attorney General meetings. She has extensive project management experience and was named Manager of the Year for the Attorney General’s Office in 2000. Prior to joining the Attorney General’s office, Lisa worked three years at the DHSMV in the office of Management and planning.
Lisa is a graduate of Florida State University and holds a B.S. in Political Science and a Master’s of Public Administration with a concentration in Information Technology. She currently resides in Tallahassee with her daughter, Hanna. In her spare time she enjoys golf and fishing.
