Wylly Harrison

Wylly Harrison comes to One Eighty Consulting with a wealth of experience in Georgia’s public and political sectors. In 2007, Wylly joined the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) as the first Director of Government Relations. He helped establish the government affairs function for TAG and spearheaded the TAG Government Affairs Task Force. Wylly lobbied for over 5000 members on issues pertinent to the economic development community in Georgia.

Wylly previously worked as a Regional Planner for the Heart of Georgia Altamaha Regional Development Center. He managed grant and grant applications for a seventeen county area and aided several different local and state officials in developing different economic development projects for southeast Georgia. Through Wylly’s efforts, over $300,000 was awarded to the Development Center.

In 2006, Wylly worked for Governor Sonny Perdue’s Office. He served two policy advisors in the areas of educational and environmental affairs; attended and reported the activities of the House and Senate committee meetings and monitored educational and environmental issues for the Governor during the 2006 Session. After his work in the Governor’s Office, Wylly became an Air Quality Specialist for the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). Wylly served as a liaison for the federal, state, and local government in matters of air quality and congestion mitigation while at the GDOT. Shortly afterward, Wylly became the financial director of Gary Black’s political campaign for Agriculture Commissioner. While on the campaign, Wylly managed campaign finances, filed campaign disclosure reports to the State Ethics Commission and managed the campaign contributor database through the election.

Wylly also worked in the Georgia Senate for the Insurance & Labor Committee in 2004. There, he worked for two Senators, organizing committee meeting material, briefing the Senators on controversial issues, and serving as liaison for constituent interests on a daily basis.

Wylly was born and raised in Milledgeville, Georgia. He graduated from Georgia College & State University with a BS in Political Science and then went on to earn his Master’s degree in Public Administration. He currently resides in Atlanta.
